Knowing where you are going helps to make sense out of school. There are many opportunities to explore careers, lifestyle, and learning styles. In grade 9, students participate in Take Our Kids to Work day, This day in early November, allows grade 9 students to go to work with parents, see how they contribute to the work community and explore the work environment. Career and Life Management is a required high school course for graduation. In CALM students learn about lifestyle, careers, and healthy choices, all which impact their future ambitions. At Highwood, we also offer an outstanding Work Experience, Registered Apprenticeship and Green Certificate Programs. Please see the work experience coordinator in room 112 on how to get involved in these programs.
